STRAWBERRIES SAUTÉED is a comedy show made up of three scenes and percussion in some cases. This show is a shift in style compared to other shows that characterize me. It is specifically focused on text, humor, and theatre. The show can also be performed with English subtitles.
SANCTIONS, TAXES AND SEIZURES
A half-sung, half-spoken solo inspired by "Korean Pansori," which are stories, legends or social critiques with percussion music using a drum. This drum was previously used by shamans for their rituals in Korea. I built it based on a true story. Interestingly, I identify with this type of singing and performance, perhaps because my way of doing things has an Eastern touch.
I hesitated between making a comedy or a horror story. The ideas come from some situations I’ve recently experienced — and hope not to repeat! It is a humorous play, although the ideas behind it are not exactly comedic in themselves, but they do come from an organizational chaos between different administrative bodies in my city, Barcelona.
This piece was born from a real experience I lived through, and which caused me so many problems that I felt the need to turn it into something more: a catharsis, a humorous manifesto to denounce the bureaucratic nonsense that, instead of making things easier, complicates them to the point of absurdity.
THE DOCTORS
A humorous solo with a comic dance as an introduction. The costume adds to the comedy by giving it a grotesque appearance. I built it based on real stories. It is a humorous piece, although the ideas that generate it are not exactly comic in themselves. They are a critique of medicine in general, as it is often practiced today.
BEING DIFFERENT
A comedy theater solo about being different, about differences. A journey into an imaginary world of mutation to understand the existence of all beings. What happens if you become a beetle or a tick?
It also explains how, among humans, differences can be beneficial, creating an exchange of knowledge, and how the energy of money can solve many things — if there is no corruption, no fear, and no lust for power.
